This new year of 2026 in numerology is a 1 year. The end of the 9 year cycle finalises with 2025 and we are stepping into not only a new year, but a whole new cycle of nine. Finally we feel like we have a fresh start. Yes, we can breathe again. And trust that our inspiration & life force are renewing. Exciting stuff...
This last year has been very difficult for us on a global level, and for many of us it’s also been a very tough time personally. This is finally about to start shifting & changing as we reconnect with ourselves and begin to feel hope coming through once more. Nine years are ruled by Mars so they always vibe intense, and this one has seen a lot of Mars' less ideal qualities seeping through with aggression and bullying showing up in many places. Mars is not just about war though. That’s the first thing anyone says about Mars but, there is so much more to this energy than the worst outcome.
We have also had a major truth seeking trend happening, a yearning towards authenticity and a rejection of what is false. The 9/Mars combination has given us a real sense of urgency around finishing projects and ending situations that need to retire from our lives. This is where the archetype of 9 being the number of completion originates from. The powerful desire to sort what needs to be sorted and remove what has outworn it’s welcome. We have a full blown need to be unencumbered by dead ends. 2025 has been especially powerful for that thanks to the Snake energy as well as some heavy hitting astro we’ve lived through.
And now, we have seen truth, we have removed what doesn’t belong or had it ripped away from us and we have had to dig in so very deeply to our reserves of strength, our integrity and our connection with what truly matters. This has all been a thorough cleansing in preparation for what is a most potent new beginning ~ the year of the Sun.
Number 1 is ruled by the Sun and this celestial influence shines its magnificent light on the world, supporting us all to start again, find the positive potential and send our effort in the direction of the greater good. Yes the number one is the archetype of the individual and the Sun is the bright star by which everything else revolves around but, this time we are seeking self actualisation and fulfilment in order to be of greater service in the world (or at least the best of us are and those who aren’t will be left behind).
Work with the magnetism increase gifted by the Sun influence to bring out the best in yourself and in any situation you encounter. The Sun is the giver of life and the number one is the starting point. It is time to breathe life into whatever it is you wish to create and who you wish to become across the next nine years. Take stock of where you know you aren’t allowing your full potential to flow and your magic to emanate out of you and begin to shape your life accordingly. This is not about pushing yourself to be the best and brightest, but to be in your true expression. Vitality, creativity and radiance do not arrive via burnout. Manage your energy.
Thinking in terms of a 9 year trajectory is actually very helpful because we need to understand that perfectionism and the need to have it all NOW because we want it that way is not how life actually works. We are at the point of 1, the start, that tender phase where care and love must be poured upon the new. This year is the year of planting the seeds for your future growth. So not everything will happen all at once, but tapping into your faith in self and life will reduce despondency, and allow you to connect with & commit to bringing through your unique gifts so that all benefit.
The Sun shines on us all and is nothing if not generous and benevolent. Be like the Sun and give of yourself to life. Life will absolutely give back to you. Promise.
